Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Mino mobile application ("Platform") and our website at www.minokids.app, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

Description of Service

Mino is an AI-powered mobile application that provides educational stories and content with AI-powered characters for children aged 5-9. The service includes:

• AI-powered educational stories with characters (Mino, Luna, Tiko, Bubu, Sunny, Koko, and more)
• Educational content across various topics (health, bedtime, numbers, space, feelings, friendship, and more)
• High-quality audio narration for stories
• Age-appropriate content delivery
• Badge and achievement system
• Anonymous usage - no account creation required

Anonymous Usage

Mino is designed to be used anonymously:

• No Account Required: You do not need to create an account to use Mino. The app operates using an anonymous device identifier (UUID).
• No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal identifying information from users.
• Device-Based: Your usage is associated only with an anonymous device identifier, which cannot be used to identify you or your child.
• Privacy-First: All usage is anonymous and designed to protect children's privacy in compliance with COPPA.

Age Requirements

Mino is designed for children aged 5-9. However:

• Subscription purchases require a parent or guardian who is 18 years or older
• All subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store, which requires adult verification
• Parents are responsible for supervising their child's use of the service
• The Platform is designed to comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and does not collect personal information from children

Subscription and Payment

Mino offers subscription-based access:

• Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple App Store and subject to Apple's terms and conditions
• All subscriptions include a 7-day free trial period
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple account settings
• Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy
• Prices may vary by country and are displayed in your local currency
• We do not have access to your payment information, which is handled entirely by Apple

User Conduct

Users agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or any related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to the service
• Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to access the service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service
• Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from the service
• Attempt to extract or collect data from the service in violation of these terms

Content and Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Mino, including but not limited to:

• Character designs, animations, and videos
• Educational content and story templates
• Software, code, and technical implementations
• Logos, trademarks, and brand elements

are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any content without our express written permission.

App Usage and Data

When using Mino:

• The app operates anonymously using a device identifier (UUID). No personal information is collected.
• Usage data (such as which stories are accessed, topics selected) is collected anonymously for the purpose of improving the app experience.
• We do not collect, store, or process voice recordings, audio data, or any user-generated content.
• All interactions with AI characters are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored.
• Parents can stop data collection at any time by uninstalling the app.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the service, to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of information.

Mino is COPPA-compliant and takes children's privacy seriously. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data. Since we operate anonymously and do not collect personal information, the privacy risks are minimized.

Limitation of Liability

Mino is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be:

• Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Free from viruses or other harmful components
• Accurate, reliable, or complete

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mino and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the service or your violation of these Terms of Service.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms of Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the service will cease immediately. If you wish to stop using the service, you may simply uninstall the app and cancel your subscription through Apple App Store settings. Since we do not maintain user accounts, uninstalling the app will effectively terminate your use of the service.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall be resolved through:

• Good faith negotiations between the parties
• Mediation, if negotiations are unsuccessful
• Binding arbitration or court proceedings, as applicable under local law

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you must stop using the service, uninstall the app, and cancel your subscription.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms of Service shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mino regarding the use of the service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
